The Jacobite’s were supporters of the
exiled Stuart King James II and his descendants after the “Glorious
Revolution”. The Jacobite movement extended from 1688 until at least the
1740’s.
Although Tutbury Castle was in ruins by then it was still a particularly important royal castle.
Come and see members from this fantastic living history group, listen to
talks on their weaponry and clothing, as well as a living history
display.
The Great Hall will be open with a helpful guide onsite to answer any questions you may have and our pretty tearoom will be open all day offering a selection of hot and cold refreshments.
